Marie Lexoune Marcellin

Executive Director

Marie Lexoune Marcellin immigrated to the States, from Haiti, at the age of three. As a student growing up in the public school system, she experienced how every child, regardless of assigned labels or limitations, was given the opportunity to become a lifelong learner.   That is the main reason why she pursued her goal of becoming an educator. She decided to be part of a team that teaches children to invest in his/her self and end the cycle of low expectations and stagnation.

Marie-Lexoune Marcellin graduated from Suny Old Westbury with a Bachelor of Art in Industrial and Labor Relations. Three years later, she attended C.W. Post/Long Island University and received a Master of Science in Counseling. Marie Lexoune Marecllin has a strong sense of community spirit and the need to support, heal and encourage is greatly being enforced.

Her humanitarian efforts have included volunteering at various homeless shelters, community centers, cycling marathons, Haiti relief efforts, working with the genocide survivors in Africa, etc.
